How can i tell if my mates gay

I have this rlly gud friend weve known each other for years and in all that time he hasnt had a girlfriend and i know that in its self isnt strange. He does show interest in girls but hes rlly gud looking and dont understand why he hasnt done anymore. I know ur gonna b surprised but im asking beause i rlly fancy him and want to take it further but dont want to ruin our friendship. Is there anyway i cud introduce him to the chance of doing something with each other and see how he reacts to messing around with another guy. Any suggestions wud be great

It's never a good idea to have sex with friends, for a night of lust you might change everything. Friends are more valuable than lovers

OK, XMan; you have a very good point, but in truth; who do we have sex with, if not people we consider friends? Let me be more specific: there should be some kind of knowledge about who we lay in bed with? And on the other side of what you've insinuated, what happens if he doesn't say something and there is something there?

I think you should ask him honestly without the insinuation of wanting to have sex with him. Don't be disrespectful or strong with it... just let it slide, "Um, I was wondering something and I hope you don't take offense to it. No matter the answer, nothing will change..." and just see how it goes.

If it goes in a negative way, you know not to proceed and nothing will be really changed. If it goes in a good way, wait it out a bit and try to test the waters... but that's just one opinion out of the many.

Always difficult. I`ve had it also several times. But the best thing should be to tell that you`re gay or bi. Then you don`t have to hide yourself anymore and it gives another the chance to think about it and take the step too. I did it much too late but already 12 years ago. And stil glad about it. You should ask him about gay marriage and his opinions on gays in general. If they're negative, then he's most likely not gay. Either that or his opinions on Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus. :]

I say definitely don't be straight forward though unless you want to risk losing him as a friend completely and freaking him out.
