How many useful browsers WITHOUT log in or security problems are ther?

I just downloaded and installed Opera and found out, that it's just as hopeless when it comes to log on to GH as Chrome. Today I use Firefox which works hunk dory and IE also has no log on problem, but as far as I understand, IE got other serious security problems.

So I wanna ask our great tech wizards : How many USEFUL browsers WITHOUT log on problems and/or other serious security problems are there today to your knowledge?

As far as I understand it the recent security issue with IE has been addressed and a patch/update has been issued.

Assuming you apply all your updates, you should indeed be safe from that recent bug. IE is still fundamentally less secure because of Active X though.

If you're on Windows, your only options here seem to be FireFox or IE (so just FireFox IMO). If you're on a Mac, you have the choice of FireFox or Safari.

When I could not log into GH using Chrome, I was inclined to think that there was a tech issue with Chrome... but now that the same issue has arisen with another browser... I am inclined to think that maybe there is a tech issue at GH.:thinking:

It might iron itself out, but it might be an idea to raise this again with the admins to highlight the fact that we now cannot login via two quite popular browsers.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong, so I definitely DON'T think that this is a GH-problem.
Why? Because we have two Windows-browsers (Firefox & IE) WITHOUT problems to log on to GH (IE got other serious security probs, but totally unrelated to the log on prob) and two fully functional Mac-browsers (Firefox & Safari).
We can't log on to GH with a) Chrome and b) Opera. How on earth would that implicate, that it's GH that has tech problems???

So no, it's a Chrome & Opera-problem.
