Well..I tend to believe the porn actor that told me the information in this regard because I've been told that a lot of straight porn actors do go into gay porn because they claim that it pays more to perform in gay porn as opposed to straight porn. I even heard a straight porn actress who had mentioned that female starlets gets paid far more than there male co-stars and that gay male porn stars do get paid way more than them.

Actually, I am not thinking about either or..I just responded to the post with information that was told to me by a gay porn star. I also mentioned in my post that I don't know for a fact if the information that was given was factual. Rates for male models in straight porn are very low, certainly in comparison to gay porn. Straight porn is one of the few professions where women get paid more than men.

My experience agrees with Abasolom's 1000 - 1500 figure for top studios. Five years ago a performer could get nearly twice that. The guys with real pull have agents that negotiate a contract for multiple films, and personal appearances, and merchandise to sell. They will get a bonus for each scene they do ( much less than the going fee), and get a % of the sales.

Trust me it's a shit load of rubbish. I did explained once in details how much one does for a movie. And that date from the time I was myself active in the Industry... honestly in 1998 I was making pretty much $800 per movie/scene and unless you're huge star it will take you at least 5 months of constant appearance in a gay film to even get close to $5000. Making 15k for a movie? Even Jeff Striker wasn't doing that much. That porn star was definitely pulling your leg, trying to make himself look more important than he truly is. Just to give you an example... Alex, my baby was signing modeling contract of over 3k for one session just to smile to the camera... there was no sex, and very little nudity and yet he basically was making much more than a porn star. And Alex retired last year and his last cheque was 5k.

May I ask what is the motivation for a man to enter the gay porn industry?
