Hungry? You Won’t Be After You See KFC’s Latest

Does a sandwich without bread actually count as a “sandwich?” At best it’s sandwich-esque. On the other hand, I doubt your fat-encased heart will care.

[The "Double Down" is] bacon and cheese sandwiched between two pieces of fried chicken. [...] KFC announced the decision to go live with the Double Down yesterday, but we weren’t sure they weren’t playing a April Fools gag. But no, they truly are going nationwide with the delicacy on April 12.

The sandwich will be available in two forms. The Original Recipe sandwich will set you back about 540 calories, 32g of fat and 1380mg of sodium. The not-as-bad-for-you Grilled Double Down totals 460 calories, 23g of fat and 1430mg of sodium.

YUM YUM!!!
I can't wait to NOT have that.
I like chicken, I like bacon and I like cheese. But even that looks disgusting. I can just imagine biting into it and all that grease just dripping down my face.
One issue now is the economy has made eating fast food more economical than doing anything at home. So people is a bind for food, end up eating this crap. Which eventually lead to countless other problems.

To be totally honest I don't think ANYTHING sandwiched between 2 BREASTS will EVER really be a hit here:rofl:

I would probably eat it. But I'm a total slob and have little/no regard for my general health. I'm part of the problem ^_^

Nothing about KFC ever makes me feel hungry - just the smell as you walk past is enough to induce a vomit attack!

Fast food is NOT cheap!! I can feed myself on something filling and healthy for 3 days on less than one of those probably costs! All it takes is a simple half hour of slight effort ;)

A huge pan of very healthy chick pea & potato curry. It costs little to buy the ingredients (once you have a stock of the various spices if you cook regularly) and that will last 3 dinners!

My "fast food" is a home made spicy tomato sauce for pasta. It's so quick to make, once you've peeled and chopped the garlic & ginger, and make a big enough pan of it, that is 3 days of meals, and you can always freeze it if you don't want it all the same week or just keep it in the fridge. Approx price around £2 - £2.50 ! Far less than one of those horrible things!

Then there's the good old veggie stir fry, slightly more but still cheaper!

All the above are far tastier too ;)

Around here, people are going for the "dollar menu" items.
I guess I should have pointed out "lazy" people on a budget.:p
And in all honesty, it really is a problem. Kids get all jacked up on the crap! Don't know what real cooking is. It's almost a dying art!

Now it looks like if you're eating that you're 'gettin a immediate heart attack.

I'm not into that fast food stuff, never needed that really. Sometimes it's good for example I was on a trip to China for a month and after I just eat Chinese cuisine. After a while I couldn't see that stuff and went to the local McDonalds which is actually everywhere in the city. It was so good after that stuff. But as I said before I normally don't like that stuff. But for the KFC-wich what the hell. Who came up with that crazy idea ??
