I finally got a cell phone

That's right!

I've finally joined the rest of society.
I was the last in my family to get one.
The last one at work to get one.
I got a "My Touch Slide". With all the bells and whistles.
Now I have to figure out how to use it. And what's my phone number anyway?? Can't even remember my home phone number.:angry:

Now I think I will save for a colored TV:rofl:
Hope the old water cooled Philco can hold out a little longer.:rofl::rofl: ( only a few of you may get that joke ).

Nope,
Philco TV's were one of the first TV.
Water Cooled, because it there was so much to it that it got super hot
and had to be cooled down. Like very old tractors, or engines, or even some of these new computers.

Somehow I don't feel being stuck in the 20th century just because I don't have a cellphone.
I enjoy being NOT available everytime and everywhere.

I wish I could live without a cellphone -_- I wish I could let it off for most of the time. But if not my friends asking me out to do something silly, I have family and important calls too -_- I hate cellphones...

I dont really have interest in those all-purpose-cellphones xD. Really, it's annoying enough to have to carry it, I only need something that works and I can put my music on... Anything else's TMI for me xD I dont even know most of thefunctions of mine yet xD. My nephew and cousin know more than me O_O about it

I'm not interested in an all action gadget thing either! It's handy for phone calls and that's all, especially with a good contract that doesn't cost very much Has a handy camera too which is useful and takes very acceptable pics

Mostly though, I listen to the news on the radio in it walking home from work

I wanted it for GPS, Internet and talk. I drive a ways to work and winters get pretty extreme, it's almost stupid not to have a cell phone with.
I've needed one for a while but just never got one.
I don't have long distance on my home phone so that made things very tough.
Plus with summer I bike a lot and get pretty far away. I've broken spokes and popped tires and it's not fun if it's something you can't fix on the fly, and your out in farm country somewhere.


I was only half kidding about the TV. But it's older than a lot of people on this forum!

Got rid of mine a while ago after I had to face yet another "friend" most likely on her PMS who gave me a headache about not answering my phone the night before. She asked why I even bothered having a cell phone if I was "never" answering it. So I thought "yeah, why bother?"

ROFL totally understandable... I HATE when ppl(friends mostly) think that it's our obligation to be available all the time... they should at least have a screw-u-o-meter and realize that Drama all the time gets old and we have the right to avoid it every now and then xDDD I literally had to run away from my friends yesterday to have some fun by myself(not the way u're thinking >_>)

Erm... going to a club... alone... in the end it wasnt my hand at all... so I cant say I had fun by myself ;x ... also surprised by how many drinks I need to loosen up and start dancing by myself...
