I work for a charity and several charities had truck loads of books that had to be sorted and no one wanted the job as to which books to discard. I gladly stepped up and took the assignment. I was able to destroy over 150 James Dobson books, and many others that had the Family research council seal of approval. We had so many books to be recycled that 14 boxes would not fit into the semi truck and I had no choice but to leave them outside and I forgot to put a tarp over them. Mother nature was so kind to send a couple inches of rain and those boxes filled with the hater books were all damaged so badly they had to be destroyed. The best part I liked was after the heavy rain there was a beautiful big rainbow.

Ah but stonecold didn't really destroy any books.
It was The Lord who sent the rain down at the exact right time and place, proving that He has better taste in books than those who use His name for their own ends.

Call me old-fashioned, but I find the idea of destroying books you don't believe in very medieval, anti-intellectual, and, well, Nazi-like.

Picture a book burning in your mind - does it give you a warm fuzzy feeling?

I doubt I agree with a single line in the books that got destroyed, but I can't take joy in their wanton destruction.

Sorry.

B.

I think dargelos is on to something GB... Stoney left the books where anyone could have taken them but no one did. He left the books and the rain soaked them. Even so the books were not burned to ash. They were merely water damaged as many ancient books were and later preserved.

I like dargelos' take on this... it was the very same "Lord's" hand that brought down the rain upon those books who's name is used in those books to defame the nature of the man who left them out for anyone to take freely.

Oh, the irony of it all ;)
