So who loves ice cream cause you know I do. Pint after pint of pure heaven. I love like peanut butter ice cream . Like with the peanut butter cups in it. I'm also in love with this new Ben & Jerry's flavor Milk and Cookies. So what flavor do you like. Oh and do you like cup or cone I like waffle cone. No cake cone though. So tell me spill it what do you like.

I like Ben&Jerry's Half Baked Cookie Dough and Häagen-Dazs Cookies'n Cream and Caramel Cream.

At the ice cream parlor I like woodruff.

But the best ice you get at the kermis. There I always have big cones with nothing but their frozen cream. It's a bit like soft ice, but with a much better taste.

French vanilla is my favorite ice cream, but it's nearly impossible to find any that's actually good these days. Too many of them have weird chemical flavors, and others like Breyer's Natural French Vanilla just don't have enough of that custard flavor that is a must with French vanilla.

My favorite cone is the waffle cone.

Goo Goo Cluster ice cream bars were a delicious treat in my youth. I haven't seen them in a supermarket in over twenty years, unfortunately.

When I was in the Navy and my ship was ported out of Alameda, CA, I used to go to the Double Rainbow ice cream shop in SF all the time for Lemon sorbet in a waffle cone--just heaven on a summer day! :pP

It's obvious that you and ice cream are long term partners, Josh. Me - being lactose intolerant - I haven't had a taste of the frozen treat for many years. It SMELLS wonderful if someone near me is enjoying a bowl of it. The non-dairy stuff that tis manufactured is so obnoxious that I can't bear to get a spoonful of it near my mouth.

Another lactose intolerant ice cream lover here (chocolate is one of my favorites). I am little confused, hawtsean, isn't there any low-lactose (made of real milk) ice cream where you live? We have many of those and they are delicious. And if I remember correctly, there is also ice cream complete without lactose.

Whisper, both of the products you mention are available in great quantity, and to my palate they taste like shit:eek: !! If scat is someone's thing, then they could enjoy the taste without bacterial worries..........seriously the low and no lactose ice creams just don't cut it; not worth the expense as far as my own taste goes. No slur on anyone else's preferences here, just a personal observation. If it weren't for the lactose issue, chocolate would be first on my list of "gotta have it now" flavors, followed by pistachio and rocky road.

Well, I haven't tasted those you have, so I can't say... But one question before I stop ( :p ), have you tried Lactrase or similar that taken when eating something that has lactose, helps to digest lactose?

Yep but since I never know when I'll be having milk product I have to really plan a hour in advance... those pills do not react right away they need at least 30 minutes to a hour head start before having milk product... and in my case it doesn't make me fart or shit like many others... it's amazing stomach cramps that really really want to come out the other way up than way down (but doesn't... so imagine the feeling). It bring me straight down to hospital for hyper acidity buildup. So unless I really really want to have something with milk i'll take those pills... but since I've learned to live without, I won't eat anything with milk. ;) The only milk I can have without feeling any burns... he's the one my surfer dude produce with his two little coconuts under his palm tree

I had the Hot Fudge Brownie at the Hard Rock Cafe, Beijing...:drooling:

Ben & Jerry's vanilla ice cream and hot fudge on a fresh brownie, topped with chopped walnuts, chocolate sprinkles, fresh whipped cream and a cherry.

Yes, but it's not very effective for me. I still suffered gastric distress, and it wasn't worth taking the meds. I've learned to do without ice cream and a cold glass of milk to quench my thirst. Thanks all the same for suggesting those alternatives.:)

They work for me, but that doesn't mean they could work for everybody. Well, I had to try :)
