I was hoping I would end up being labeled as a Marxist, but alas, I'm not. So much for my support for a Public Health care. I'll go weep silently in the corner. :(

Well if its any consolation we have a "don't wanna be " Marxist.. so maybe it's balancing itself out.

Pretty much the results I expected, the bar graph was almost identical on these:

My #1 is: Neoliberal
Emphasis on cooperation, consensus, free trade; cooperative, democratic states are more advantageous than rogue autocracies. To secure our own borders, we should make sure other countries are democratic, free-trading, and participate in international organizations: a much more pragmatic version of Liberal. Clinton, Fukuyama, Marshall.

My #2 is: Radical
Emphasis on social justice, cooperation, democracy; the best states are peaceful and democratic, as well as moderately egalitarian. We must stop attacking countries for oil and focus on larger threats; beating up little countries that never hurt anyone is a grave threat to spreading democracy. Basically Neoliberal with a dash of Marxist. Dean, Gore.

OMG, I'm a neoconservative! :?
(I've never given this some thoughts, but Neoconservative with Libertarian as #2 sounds strange...)

My #1 is: Neoconservative
Emphasis on civilizations, democracy, strength; states act through civilizational and cultural means for their own advancement. We must spread democratic institutions and markets to other countries, but also include a very strong military establishment, democracy is a tool of diplomacy and war, ultimately democracies will side with us and we must side with them, although some of our allies may be non-democratic. Bush-43, Kristol, Wolfowitz.

Reasonably accurate!

Pacifist
Emphasis on violence, injustice, war; states spread war, disease and famine. We must encourage an end to all violence, dismantling of al nuclear stockpiles, and eliminate the causes of division, conflict and violence, perhaps including capitalism or business. Thoreau, Tolstoy.

and I am :) but those political economical and whatever they`re called terms were way beyond my english powers!:)

Pacifist...

This test does not really reflect how I feel. I just answered according to my understanding of how I interrupt an ideal philosophy. But at the same time I also recognized that it is idealistic. That a completely pacifistic approach is perhaps feasible but it would take huge commitment from the citizens and extraordinary leadership. Then even so, the continued integrity just might be beyond us.

There are also situational imaginings that run across my mind that I can not denounce a reaction of violence to. And while a pacifistic approach is perhaps more beneficial for the whole, it could require sacrifices from the individual that are too great for any country to ask of its citizens. Although, I am not really educated enough on these things to properly assess them and these thoughts are really just me musing. I do planned on reading up on pacifistic philosophy but I have not got to it yet.

Then of course I have to decide whether or not I should to care; another philosophical dilemma of mine is: nationalism vs. individualism.

Frustrating test, oftentimes I agreed with half of the question but the lead in the second half wasn't how I would have responded to the problem in question. It calls me a Radical, but the quiz is America-centric, which confuses that label. For example, I would imagine the strong military question would be weighted differently for somebody from Canada or most EU countries, of which I am one. On the other hand, it re-affirms the complexity of foreign policy, which I guess is the bottom line.

So I thinks that puts Radical and Neoliberals equal first, with 3 each... who's next to take the test?

"Make sure other countries are democratic, etc" Oh yeah, by invading them and forcing democracy on them no matter what the cost in terms of lives like Bush and Blair did to Iraq? And that's called neoliberal, is it? Sounds more like imperial or colonial to me.
Anyway, I came out as liberal, followed by libertarian, which seems to fit with my own self-view. But I agree with others that the questions are USA and Western -centric.
