I'm IE8 .. what's the consensus, should IE8 users switch to Firefox???

I always used IE until I changed to Vista. Then I could not get Java to work properly on it so I changed to Firefox and I am totally converted, wouldn't use anything else.

That's probably what I was finding wrong. Anyway I started having all sorts of silly problems so tried Firefox again after quite a long time since last I used it.

Wonderful and fast!! Soooooooo much better than IE. Jim, give it a try, you'll like it

Safari is extremely fast, but I found it crashed continuously, just completely shut down, so that is the negative, in my case at least.

Safari freezes when you try to scroll down and GIFs are around, it's slow with GIFs for some reason.

I use IE8 and Firefox. For me they are both fast.

honestly slimjim, someone as active in the internet as you (and you are very active on the board) I would have supposed to use Firefox at all.

I'm a bit shocked to hear that you use the IE... really!
