iPad viewing and downloading - streaming

New to this great site. Also new iPad user.

Looking for information or links to enable me to download files from filesonic.com site or stream them on the iPad. Can this be done?

What other sites or apps can be used on the iPad.

I searched here but didn't find much so hopefully somebody will have the answer.

The iPad will stream from any site that offers HTML5 streaming - not sure who does or doesn't at the moment, and there are more and more sites doing it.

As for downloading files from filesonic - that's just not what the iPad is for. It's not a laptop.

As for apps - if it's in the app store it will work - if it's not, it doesn't exist. What kind of apps are you looking for? What problem are you trying to solve?

What I would like to know is it possible to Skype friends on the new Ipad. Could somebody find this out for me and let me know.

Yes - go to the app store - search for Skype - install it - done!

Don't be put off by the word 'store' - there are loads of free apps in there too.
