is there a seventh or eight sense? or more?

ill think the sixth sense is inherently connected to the five we feel and understand..so when we put them altogether at a point in are mind we get a sixth it would explain why we feel it as apposed to understanding it..

therefore couldn't there be more senses? untouched by are mind?

Remember when there were only four basic tastes: sweet, sour, bitter and salty? Then this Japanese scientist proposed umami as the fifth. It can happen that as science delve deeper into the study of the human mind, they are going to find new categories that can add to what we now know as the five senses. As you said, we are already halfway there in constituting the sixth sense. It's just going to be a little leap to not ignore what's already there such as sense of humour and sense for the ridiculous.
