I just saw the dvd last night. The dildo scene is barely visible at all, almost completely dark. On the commentary, Franco said that it was put in to create buzz. I thought Franco's brother was the most interesting, as Hart Crane before WW1. There's a make out and fuck scene between James Franco and Michael Shannon, the actor who played the evil prohibition agent in Boardwalk Empire. It wasn't a turn on for me.
