Laundry Flub!

So I was doing laundry today. I checked the pockets of all my pants and shorts to make sure nothing was in the pockets and then started the wash. When I went to move the laundry from the washer to the dryer I found there was something all over my clothes. At first I thought the washer broke somehow, but then I saw what it was: Paper!!! Somehow I missed a small spiral notebook that keep in my back pocket for taking notes. It was pretty much brand new! It was a paper mess in the wash. I've put all the clothes in the dryer now hoping that it will filer out the paper as it dries. I'm probably going to have to run them through the wash again, but we will see.

I have washed white man's shirts with colored laundry - and the result was pink/brown shirts instead of white and a knock with the fist of my BF on my head. But that happened some years ago - in the meantime I know how to work with the laundry. -

Well, the dryer worked. All the paper ended up in the filter. But yea, what a mess at first. And a waste of a good $0.27 notebook. lol.

Well, I don't know if this is the worst, but it is the most recent. When I put my jeans in the washer I saw that my bf had dropped some rags he had been cleaning with by the machine. I thought I would be the good guy and throw his stuff in with my clothes. I didn't know that he had been using bleach on one of the rags, so this is how my good black jeans came out.

I just tell people that they are a one-of-a-kind artisan distressed fabric that cost hundreds of dollars in New York.

Hi Trencherman - yea I know it - I have it experienced by myself. And I've got the real, real, real anger of my BF. X_X:worried:

I solved the laundry issues. Everything I own is dark colors, no brights or whites, so no bleach. I wash everything in cold water, I don't even have the hot water hooked up to my machine so no issues with shrinking. Added bonus, I can do everything in one load, no sorting...

I do no color sorting. It doesn't seem to matter. Everything goes on the permanent press cycle. Seems to work out fine.

Now I do leave tissue in my pockets sometimes. That works out less fine.
