Oh what fun happened last night. Our home security system went off randomly for no reason. Then after that the police had to come! Nothing was wrong but at least they came for a precaution lol.
lol..here, they only show up for alarms going off so they can bill you...there is a $200 charge each time here when you have a false alarm call for police or fire...so if it happens...you better make up a good story. That is why the alarm security companies always call before they call the police or fire now. If no answer they call police/fire, if you answer, you have to give the password or they call the police/fire. Supposedly it has cut false alarm runs down from tens of thousands to a few hundred per year in our area.
i work for a security company. most areas charge a false alarm fee and the default instructions for my company on break in alarms is to call the home first then the po po. fire is to call the police first. thats unless you specify them to do something otherwise. we have some customers that we have to call 20-30 people first before we dispatch, which SUCKS ASS! they must have a lot of faith that no one wants to rob them, it makes me want to make a mental note of where they are and loose my conscious. lol
