It is personal what you think about looks.
I would like to contribute the vision of a man who was not able to judge about looks. The blind Dutch singer/songwriter Jules de Corte.
He wrote this song in 1974. It is a beautiful poem. I tried to translate it in English.




I would like to know, why are the mountains so high
maybe to gather the snow
Or protect the valley from cold
or maybe as a safe prop for the sky arch
therefore the mountains are so high


I would like to know, why are the seas so deep
Perhaps to happiness of the fish
Who can miss the water so badly
Or to multiple glory of God who created the world
Therefore the seas are so deep


I would like to know, why are the clouds so fast
Maybe it is a lesson to mankind
That learns him how fictional a border is
Or maybe it's simple an angel’s game
Therefore the clouds are so fast


I would like to know, why are the people so tired
Perhaps by their hurrying and rushing
Or maybe by their ten thousand questions
And they are already on their way to peace for so long
Therefore the people are so tired

Yes I think it works the other way to. It doesn't matter how great he looks if his personality sucks then it ain't gonna work ether.

Sure the beauty is the first thing who grab my attention but if there's nothing more then it can't work for me.

Getting old I tend to consider the personality much more important than the beauty, I like those guys which I can talk to, not boring, brilliants and clever.

After aging the physical beauty will vanish but the beauty from the inside will be always visible.

There has to be some physical attraction, but it's not as important to me as the emotional connection.
