Love. Would you give your life for the loved one?

So...weird topic I know. I just re watched this movie "If Only" with Jennifer Love Hewitt... It`s not much of a film but the story is interesting. So her guy wakes up the next day after she dies in a car accident just to relive the same day... He wakes up next to her but things start to happen just like he lived it the day before and he knows he was given another chance. After he realizes she has to die in that car accident, he decides and gives his life in exchange for hers ...gets in the car, covers her with his body, he dies, she doesn`t, end of movie.

My question is: Can love be so big that it makes you wanna give your life for the one you love? Or, would you give your life for the life of the one you love?

But let`s say you already found it. It`s there, in your heart. You can feel it. And you`re the same person that you are today. And you love someone so much...would you? give your life so that the loved one can live?
I know I`d give my life everyday if I knew it would save my mom from going what she went through with the disease and death and all .........

But that`s not what I was asking about...I was asking about the loved one...BF/GF, wife/hubby

Why wouldn`t it be good for me? I`m not a suicidal type LOL! If that`s what you`re thinking I`m just ...a very "sad" person ...in general Like there are those guys with smiles always on their faces that you think they`re always smiling but they`re not..they just have happy faces this way I`m a "sad" guy...people just look at me and ask why I am sad..even though I am NOT in that moment... well, far from this thread So I`ll stop writing

Nah, really...I think I`d do it...if I was the same guy as today...I mean..the same situation, the same soul...the same thoughts...the same heart...I`d do it without thinking twice...I`m just a very helping type...I`d give my soul to help some people (who turn out to be so ungrateful! well I did use to help people in the past but not anymore nowadays...not THAT much anyways)

I've often felt like that to. I'm single, never married, no kids, only a dog. All my siblings are married, have kids. All friends are married or in relationships.
I just hope that if something tragic every happened, I wouldn't freeze, my courage wouldn't waver, and I'd take that bullet.

why is that again? anyways after years of battle with the red cross, they finally decided to start accepting blood from africans...so technically i can give blood since im still a virgin.
