When I try to access my emails away from home there is always a problem as they do not recognise the location. They send another mail to my other account with a code to re-enter and try again. This morning they sent a code to my other account(aol)and they refused me access to that account. Is there a way round this?surely with people moving around and VPN's they should know people travel.
Now having said that I sent a mail fine from my android tablet this morning and had no trouble getting my Yahoo account. Is it Microsoft that screws this up?It does seem strange.
I would welcome any idea's you guy's might have.It cannot just be me with this problem. Thanks in advance.

I think if the bigger services like hotmail or GMail detect logins from 'unusual locations', based on your ip, then access is made more difficult as part of their protection procedures -this is to prevent unauthorised access.

You could set up an email account with a service that won't pay as much attention to changing ip addresses (your existing email account could be instructed to forward emails to the new address). Or you could purchase a VPN service that offers the option of purchasing a static ip, and then use only that ip when accessing your account.

For am important email account always make sure you have a backup way for them to confirm your identity -a good way is if they can sent a sms to your phone.

Thanks Skyward,
Thanks for those tips.I thought that using a VPN would move my IP around and Yahoo etc would get used to it.As I said I had no trouble using my Tablet and will use that in future. It is a new toy for me and I am just getting used to it.What I have seen I have liked. Many thanks again for your imput.
