Mega server

Hello, I just would like to point out that I've tried this server "Mega" and it's very good, it has become my favourite because it's fast and allows several downloads (not simultaneous). I think it's great for large files like hd videos or full movies. Is anybody using it? it would be nice if regular posters here would use it... let me know what you guys think about it

I just want to know why Mega is on the banned list?, there's nothing wrong with the file host at all.

I don't know either but I guess it's a very good reason.

I think it is banned because it violates the following point of the Regulation:

2.3. All filehosts for downloading of videos Must Also Provide an option for the user to download it freely (ie, not Requiring a membership in order to download). Also, no external software must have to be Utilized to download.

If I'm not mistaken, you must register to download. But I could be wrong, because so far I not have never see downloads from Mega.

Yes.

I'm sure the administration will come up with a reason everybody can support without hesitating.

there are and have been several reasons for mega being and remaining banned, but to keep it short and simple the bottom line is ....

kim dotcom and his 'new' company are still a target, and a very big target at that (pun intended) ...

the relevant authorities in the usa have not given up on their pursuit of him, and the nz domain is absolutely no protection from u.s. authorities when they decide to act (and will in fact comply and cooperate completely)

be assured that the u.s. authorities will be taking action at some stage, and is very likely to be against uploaders this time as well as the administration/owners of mega (especially with mr. dotcom waving a red flag the way that he is)

we have been following this story since it began, and are fully aware and informed of the history and legal ramifications, both in the usa and new zealand

mega will be remaining on the banned hosts list


(ps - and watch the download speeds dissipate once he has reached his profit target)
