It is believed the adult mind selects and and stores words in part by rhythm, and partly by how they begin and end. That would explain why people can read this without much problems.
I am not sure it has much to do with proficiency of English; unless perhaps pertaining to vocabulary. We all have humans brains, no matter what nationality we are, and they all work in the same fashion.
