Mike Fuckabee, I mean Huckabee (or do I?) has a new talking point. According to this genius, being gay is like drinking or swearing. I contend that Mike Huckabee is like being an evangelical (Christian? I think not) with his head stuck up his ass, but he can't acknowledge it, because he can't say the word ass.:butslap::butslap::butslap::slap::slap::slap:

Just another idiot from the sea of Repugnican (no I didn't make a typo) idiots. :cum:

Great democracy and it's politicians... It could work, but there aren't enough people who understand or care about things. Only time many voters pay attention to politics is near elections, and that flock is easily controlled. And in the end, on the high chair sits person deciding about things he has no clue of. These days I only believe in personal resbonsibility. If you don't vote, you don't have the right to complain, well I just don't even care enough to complain or follow anymore:p And if oppression someday will raise too high, well history shows, truth will come with hate towards lies;) I could be politician, but unfortunetly I have conscience and no crime record, so I don't think I qualify, so brolly I just take care of my own bussines and make sure while doing it, that I don't interfere others while they're doing the same:( My stress level has decreased sooooo much:thumbs up:

In American politics the field of politicians to choose from is limited. So limited that in fact there is only 1 political party with 2 denominations. The system is corrupted by bribery from lobbyists and by politicians so hell bent on re-election to further line their pockets they will do anything.

How will these criminals in office ever be swept away like the dirty trash they are? It would take a blood thirsty revolution and anarchy to overthrow the villains from their fortress of bureaucracy and gated communities guarded by the hounds of war and the police state.

That's something I admire about the French... they know how to stage a revolution even if the result is just a new set of villains in control.

I choose not to believe America is the only country in the grasp of greedy villains who will do anything to climb the ladder so as to get closer to the top 1% of the wealth bracket.

It's definitely true that many Americans get to choose between a buffoon and an ignorant buffoon, but that doesn't make voting any less important. Yes, your average democrat is probably quite far from your ideal politician, BUT, particularly since the rise of the Tea Party, your average republican is mentally on a different planet - a planet where women don't have a right to control their own bodies, where rape victims who get pregnant only do so because they secretly like it, where gays are part of a global conspiracy and/or just choosing to be different, and hence not entitled to anything. And don't even start on their economics - reality, maths, history, current measures, all of those are notable from Republican economic theory only by their total absence.

The lesser of two evils is still less evil!

Less evil... what a concept, lol.

The rhetoric from both political 'denominations' is designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator of society.

The real power doesn't belong to politicians. It belongs to bureaucrats. Politicians are paid by lobbyists to keep the rabble in a stew while laws & regulations are enacted that favor their 'overlords' and masters, lol.

I voted for 1 Republican ticket in my life. All the rest were Democrats. Not because I trust the Democrats to do anything noble or with the best interests of the country or it's citizens... but because the one Republican I voted for was 'Tricky Dick' Nixon in 1972 and we all know how that turned out ;)

I still have hope things may change in my lifetime but the reality is the chances are slim to none.

Thanks for looking on the sunny side of it gb ;)

In America there are Americans and Americons said someone to me, among other things, prior to my moving to the states on a contract job. I've always had a little something for America and for one i aloofly followed their politics, as far as the way they get to election over very long campaigns, Ohio! LoL No, i was in the sunshine states of Florida. Needless to say, as the samaritan (no pun!) had enlightened me, i met both Americans and Americons. Anyway, to cut it short and get to politics i see a lot falling into the latter category (my observations of course) only varying in degrees of foolishness. There's a commonality between Republicans and Democrats which really strikes me, in that they both share the vision to be the 1st world power outside the scope of geographical boundaries. And who runs the household while the politicians to whom have been entrusted the power to serve their populace have other things to muse about. And who really own up to it, seeing that at some point the president seems to have his own hands tied. If this is the American dream, then it's time to wake up already.
Obama's speech upon his re-election had somewhat rekindle my faded enthusiasm, stating to extrapolate the ideologies which the founding fathers had for those days and re-frame them to our current time and reality. I know the dude have had hard times establishing the foundation for the work but seems to have succumbed to the power behind the throne.

I fear I've gone out of context, but to rectify i'll throw in this little quote (as far as i can remember it) i once read from an acquaintance on a social network: "If i ever run into Mr X (a republican known for talking bigotry) I'll grace his face with my penis", said the straight dude.

Sniffit, you are right about one political party in the USA, it's called "Big Corporations." I don't agree bureaucrats are necessarily the problem, except those who come from big corporations and will return there, with huge salaries as their reward.

Most voters are uninformed! For example a recent poll showed opposition to "Obama care" because the government has no right to force enrollment in healthcare and because the government can't run a healthcare system efficiently. However, the very same poll showed high approval of Medicare, which does just that.
