What NicotineFit is not completely true. I have such software and red/cyan glasses and it does work. While I can't say with 100% accuracy that it's as good as an originally produced anaglyph movie, it definitely does work. But, you have to know what color combination the movie used for their anaglyph movie. They have to be opposites. Red/cyan is one such combo. Green/magenta & amber/blue are others, although I think that red/cyan are the most common, but I'm not sure. I am using that, because that's the glasses that I own. I also will state that, if I post any online.
I know that this thread is very old, but I just got the software and some people may still have questions about this. Btw, if you own a Mac there is very good, totally free software for making this and also for modern 3D TVs. If you are interested, the link to this is from CNET. There are two that I know of, but there may be more.
Mac 3D Video Converter Anon URL.
Video Converter Lite: This is available in the
Mac App Store.
Caution: There are 2 versions of this, both made by Aiseesoft. The one you want is: Video Converter Lite. The other says Aiseesoft Video Converter and doesn't let you convert into 3D in the free version. The icons are almost identical, but the one that you want
does not say free video in the icon. If you have any questions, you can send me a PM and I will be happy to help. I've used both of these versions and they work as well as my paid Conversion software, which only lets me convert to 3DTV and not anaglyph. These also let me choose the resolution I want. My paid software only lets me do 3DTV in 720p.
