Filehost Disaster

MegaUpload, FileServe and FileSonic have all gone silent.

I have a friend who passed this news about Oron to me tonight:

"Apparently on a Russian chat forum tonight the owner of Oron said he will be blocking payments tomorrow and starting the shut down process"

So Oron will fall some time on Monday Jan 23..

I can still pull up my account, and it shows I still have some 14 gigs I can download for the period. The true challenge is in finding viable links; links that were newer than my hard-on were dead. I had to try a high volume straight (and some politicians accuse US! of being porn-addicted slaves to our dicks) forum to actually check if new links were still functional.

Granted, this could all change in five minutes.

I'd just recently canceled 2 of my online premium accounts: Hotfile and Oron before the fall of Megaupload...Well, I just recently tried to REstart the Oron account and I get this message from Paypal:

"This recipient is currently unable to receive money."

So I do think that something is brewing..and to think, I thought I had more than enough porn. It's never enough! lol

Mine actually ended today, and I ended the auto-pay setting on PayPal, so unless something changes in the next week, I'd say this is the end for Oron as well.

Hehe Paypal cut Oron again, not the first time this has happened. I guess there's a lot of pressure on Paypal now with filehosts going down left and right.

Russia doesnt have copyright laws.

So maybe Oron will continue.

I think I will wait and see what happens before joining another filehost site. No point in buying a subscription only to have the host shut down 3 days later. Besides, its not like there isn't enough porn out there, I suppose.
