Plans for Valentine’s Day

For those of you who are in a relationship, I wanted to start this topic with the question: Which special sexy treat does your man get for Valentine’s day?

So I’m gonna surprise my bf with them. p

At February 14 in the early morning - as every year - I've a special present for my love: MYSELF!!! - And it is like every year well received!

THat's what myself and my hubby have been doing for years. I cook a nice dinner, open a nice bottle of wine, light an open fire, and have a nice evening in front of the fire ... and beyond.

I'll be spending it with a guy I really, really wish I was in love with?

Ultimate 1st world problem I know, but I'm dating a cute, brilliant (PhD biochemist working on things I can't pronounce (and I'm a medical epidemiologist)), adored by all myfriends, and also just made me lasagna and alfajores from scratch...but he just doesn't turn me on?

So yeah - a Valentine's of hope?

Me and my friend decided on having a "special" Valentine's Day dinner for two which I decided would consist of:

Filet Mignon with Herb and Cheese Potatoes
Warm Butter-Poached Lobster Salad with Tarragon-Citrus Dressing
Hot Wheat Dinner Rolls with Honey Butter
and for dessert: MEEEEEEE....lol...lol..no just kidding...that's for latter on...
no...but for dessert...I will provide a Chocolate Marble Cheesecake with Strawberries on top
And for the special day cocktails...My bartender friend taught me how to make Rasmopolitan which is raspberries flavored with the traditional cosmopolitan. The ingredients for this cocktails consists of: (Just in case anyone is curious to try it)

1 ounce (2 tablespoons) citrus-flavored vodka
1 ounce (2 tablespoons) raspberry-flavored vodka
1/2 ounce (1 tablespoon) Chambord
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
1 tablespoon Simple Syrup
2 tablespoons cranberry juice
Raspberries for garnish

I will also have a couple of bottles of champagne for later on as well as a "back up"...haha...

And for a bonus personal touch...my friend had heard a CD that contained demos of songs that I had recorded awhile ago in the early 90's for a record producer at the time and he really liked a lot. Therefore, I contacted another friend of mine who owns a local recording studio and I went in and recorded several love songs for him as a gift just for this occasion. To conclude...I think he will be really flattered and will enjoy the evening as a whole. I have to say that I am sooo looking forward to this Valentine's Day.

Haha...what can I say???...I am a very "Romantic" guy...and YES!!! you can come over but you will have to participate in the late night activities.......haha...just kidding with you....Have a Happy Valentine's Day you and your man....:heart:
