Please stop labeling your videos 'HOT!!!'

Everyone has different tastes. My HOT is not your hot. Most of the time, your HOT makes me roll my eyes and say 'That was so plain.'

Many times HOT means the men look attractive.

Other times, the men can be ugly, but what they do together can be smoking hot. But most of the time, it means 2 attractive men doing boring things that everyone has seen too many times.

So when I see a video clip with the thread title "So-and-so fucking (HOT!!)" I will most likely just skip it!

Course they do. Many of the mass posters never even watch them themselves, they just post any old thing!

I know what you mean by the HOT thing mentioned. Im a member of several Yahoo and Google Groups. There was one person that most of the time said "HOT" or "WELL RECOMMENDED". This is THEIR point of view and NOT every ones in the world. They should put "in my opinion they are HOT". Eventually I just poped that persons email as a JUNK email so never saw them again. Here we can just close the THREAD and move on to the next one. And then learn that not to open THREADS by that user again as you know they are not your taste.

In defense of Hotness

This excessive hotness comment isn't really any different than complaining that

• People say that such-and-such restaurant is the best in town, when you think it's just average
• Someone says that the movie they just saw was great, when you thought it was boring
• Someone says that the best pop music was made in the 1980s, when it's obvious to you that the music of the 1990s was so much better.

Isn't it pretty much assumed that when someone loves/hates music, art, film, food, fashion, writing, theater, etc - that they are expressing their personal preference and taste, and, as the saying goes, your mileage may vary?

If a friend tells me that they just read the best novel and offers to loan it to me, I take into consideration what I know of their taste in books. If past experience tells me that their preference in reading material is similar to mine, I might gladly take the book. On the other hand if I like crime stories, and my friend prefers romance novels, I would probably conclude that their endorsement doesn't necessarily mean that I would love the same thing.

Coming back to porn, I assume that when someone says that a scene is "hot", they are giving their personal opinion. A lone "hot" reference doesn't mean much, but as I get to know what different people like and post about, I can spot the people that are twisted in the same was as I am, and a triple thumbs up from them means that I definitely want to get a look at that material!

So I say, guys, keeping telling me what you think is hot (or not) because that helps me get a bead on the people who's opinion I want to follow (or not).

Quite the opposite. All opinions are subjective so the more people evaluate porn, the easier it is to see where an individual's tastes are similar to / different from yours. When someone with a track record of liking the same things that you like says something is "the hottest video I've ever seen" - that's when you click away to see what all the commotion is about.

I think the all caps, exclamation marks, and exclamation of 'HOT!!!!!' serve a very good purpose - spam filter! It makes it so much easier to weed out the boring repetitive crap!

Why stop at the word "HOT!!!!!" why not stop using the word "BEST!!!" or "GREATEST!!!" or "BIGGEST!!!" or "GORGEOUS", or "BEAUTIFUL", or "SEXY" or "SWEETEST" or "DELICIOUS" or "SEXY". In fact, let's just ban all words altogether.

Freedom of speech is a hard earn and precious freedom. Don't give up a single word of it.

Here's a simple solution that I have found to work pretty well: Avoid threads that have exaggerated titles.
