PopUp tried to change my PC settings

When I logged on to this site just now after quite an absence, the pop-up window that accompanies the start page tried to change the settings on my browser; only for the fact I got a warning and was able to cancel the setting change God only knows what it would have done. I don't like sites I don't go to trying to hi-jack my PC.

Do you know which pop up it was ? If you could give any sort of indication we'll have it checked out.
