Porn actor Damon Audigier dead at 21...

I never saw a scene with this guy, but I do remember seeing his name around and this story is just all around heartbreaking regardless.

Damon Richey, known to porn fans as Damon Audigier, has died. He apparently committed suicide. He was only 21 years old.

21... wow. That number alone makes it so much sadder.

Maybe his reasons aren't connected to his pornographic works.

RIP Damon Audigier

It’s 6 years later, and I just found out this horrible news. Sadness haunting the likes of me, so far removed from his life and tragic death—very akin to my reaction to the strange suicide of Aaron Hernandez, pro football star.

Some people who seem to have it all really don’t, I guess. Aaron was so obviously gay to any observer with even a mote of gaydar, but he lived in a social milieu (pro football) so macho and too often so toxic to the relentless realities of sexuality.

Listening to Damon’s favorite song as I write this. I’d never heard it before. Now I see how Carey earned her $500 mil and the stunning white mansion on Windermere Island (Bahamas), accessible “only by private helicopter or authorized boats.”

From his flicks, my impression of Damon was so different from a tale that ends with suicide. I always found him very masculine, with a fantastically smooth swimmer’s build, and a very engaging, down-to-earth personality. He seemed so positive. With his strangely shaped head and bod, he reminded me of my very first (and still strongest) flame. It’s really hard to take the news that 21 years is all the time he had.

Aaron Hernandez and Damon Audigier—they remind me of each other. I hope they’re together in some real gay heaven where their preternaturally beautiful spiritual essence is no cause for shame or concern—but rather only joy, celebration and eternal peace. To me, they were angels on Earth.
