If there's something I was good at in my youth it was to deface public signs (yeah I was that kind of dude) and later on goes on being a graffiti artist... but not the graffiti kind that you couldn't admire. I had my air brush pen and would make Murals, not just stupid signatures that means nothing to the rest of the world. But making fun of public sign is fun and I've gathered some pictures of very interesting ones. So here they are:

Reminds me of a big billboard that was outside an empty office complex next to the road on my way home from college at weekends - it was all white with GIANT black writing and used to say:

In a nearby suburb there is a strip shopping centre with one establishment that's a kind of food hall and shop combined. On the verandah at the shop front are boldly emblazoned the name" "GREEN & CO".

A couple of months ago some wise-arse "vandalised" it by adding the letters 'C' and 'K'. I chuckled at the time, wondering how long it would last.

Today I was there again and was surprised to see that the extra letters are still there, in plain sight, and it's opposite the end of a busy T-junction too, so it's very noticeable. I can only assume that either the council is slow to get their graffiti rangers on the job, or that someone in the council has a sense of humour.

That reminds me of an inverse problem we have in my locality - there's a town not far from here called "Kilcock", so there are loads of road signs pointing drivers towards it. Many of these signs have had the first three letters scrapped off, so they are giant big arrows pointing at "cock", with a distance written next to it - childish, but it always makes me giggle
