Question about Quick Time

I have used Quick Time for years to view my clips. After a problem with my computer, the entire operating system had to be reloaded. Now all of my clips will not play on quick time. I get the error message -101. Does anyone have an idea how to correct this? I tried re-installing quick. time but that did not fix it. Thanks.

When I had to factory reset my Win 10 laptop I had a similar issue when I went to play a vid with the newly installed VLC Media Player - turns out I had forgotten to download and re-install the K-Lite Codec Pack.

Maybe your problem is also due to the codecs?

Quicktime player is great on mac but on pc
use VLC or Windows Media Player
Be sure to use K-Lite codec pack or Shark007 codec pack
You can set either player to play ALL video file types

I have better results playing .mov & .mp4 in Windows Media Player than Quicktime
on my pc with K-Lite codec pack
