OMG, that is one ugly abortion of a Corvette.

Your right, that Vette is a crime...
But, the bad guys Trans Am, with the Formula and shaker scoops was pretty kick ass...

Something you may not have known, that same T/A later became a major part of the Chips story line. Ponch (Erik Estrada) bought it as a burned out wreck, fully restored it and painted it gold, but the car spent two seasons repeatedly being stolen and wrecked. It became an on going joke in the show...

That Trans Am is one of the most beautiful cars , pure eye candy. Hmmm, off to Craigslist and Ebay Motors to see what the going prices are for one of those babies....

I'll save you some time...

1970-73 Pontiac Trans Am (they are all almost the same in those years)

unrestored, but drivable condition- $10k -$15k US

Nice driver quality-$15k-$30k

Fully restored show car $30,000 +...

If you want to go the cheaper route (25-50% cheaper), you can get a Pontiac Firebird , which is the same body and add the parts to make it a Trans Am or get one of the later models, yet again cheaper (1974-81) that use the same body shell, but have different front end styling...

'70-73

*all Firebirds shown are Formula models, regular Firebirds have no hood scoops...

All of these cars pale by comparison to the economical but very nifty 1972 Zaporozhets...

Now am I right, or am I right?

You may laugh, but I'd roll in it... Just to be different...

Of course, I'd probably do something crazy to it like swap out the anemic 30hp V-4 for a 190hp Hayabusa motor....:p
