Regretting Your Tattoo(s)?

So many guys seem to have tattoos these days. I do not belong to that group. In fact I hate 99,9% of all the tattoos. I don't understand why people take them. In my opinion a tattoo does not enhance the beauty of the male body.

I wonder if there are people here who have a tattoo but deep down in their heart regret having one (or more) and want to get rid of the thing(s).

Well I don't have a tatoo, not yet But I do like certain kinds of tattoos on guys. Black ornaments, signs, sentences (not in Chinese - it's too common today), things from ancient mythologies, or even "emo" stars on hips look pretty cool to me.

In the other hand colourful pictures of wild animals turns me off.

I have some ideas for my future tattoo(s). I think of it for few years already (but I don't hurry) so there is not a chance I'd regret it whet it will be done one day.

Don't have any. I have never liked them. In my opinion, tattoos look cheap, trashy. Most often, people regret their tattoos later on in life. But that is my opinion and doesn't make me right.

I love tattoos and I had a chance to finally design one for my American friend/brother, so here's my "first tattoo" :

And, I got it done within a week and I don't think I will ever regret it.



We had to make a few small changes from Whispers design because my skin wouldn't show grey very well, so we had to add green. But I love it mainly because she designed it for me.

I'm not a friend of tatoos either or let's say of 98% of the tatoos. I don't mind one or two well done tatoos on a body but usually I find them boring, esp. those porn stars with tatoos all over their bodies.

In my eyes a tatoo should be some kind of personal expression, but in reality people just "want a tatoo" and don't care about it, what they got. So you see different people with the same tatoo at the place of the body and you know: google-picture-search (my "fave" is the "family comes first" over the one breast, which I've seen more than once on different guys).

A friend of mine had this thing, that haiducii posted in reality. And it even was a lion too. It took him some time to have it repaired - to have another tatoo over the bad one.

eah! thats exactly what i call awful tattoo: face of lion or tiger or bear ... :rofl:

Even I do not have tattoos, and I see no reason to cause invasive action on my body, which is not therapeutically necessary.
Obviously it is a personal choice and my statement is not a criticism to those who have tattoos.

I'd never get one done. I'm too square to carry it off, and I know I'd change my mind about what I wanted, weeks after it was done.

I don't mind the odd one on other guys. If the guy has the hot 'bit of rough' look, it can add to him, in a way.
It very much depends what it is and where it is.


In porn, it's distracting if a guy has a tattoo of words, I find myself trying to figure out what the swirly writing is meant to say :blushing: when I should just focus on the action !

I really don't like 'arm sleeve' tattoo. Y'know, where the whole arm is completely covered so you can't see the skin any more. The arm no longer looks like an arm, more like a mouldy snake. X_X

I mostly agree with Now&forever. I find it gross when there's so much tattoo it doesn't even look like skin anymore (moldy snakes-haha). But I can put up with one here or there, especially if the rest of the guy is nice to look at. I should say, however, that a tattoo never enhances a body. Even a hot guy with a tattoo would be hotter without it.

I think a guy can pull off lots of ink, if it's really well done and it's a unified theme and style.
But here a tat, there a tat...doesn't work as well.

I agree Sal...it's a personal choice. I don't have any either but don't dislike anyone who does. Some look good some not so much but it's just not for me...that doesn't make me unhip. It's also my choice.

I still like my tattoo (Just to come in from the other side of the discussion)
It's just the one, and it's pretty big.. but It does suit me.. (And my.. ahem.. 'Look')
I spent a long time choosing the style and sat with the artist and redesigned it to suit... I knew I'd have it forever, and so that was figured into every step of the process...

I guess, like anything.. if you put the effort time.. and indeed, money in.. you tend to get a better 'product'...

I have a tat, covers a rather nasty multi hued brown blob thing on my shoulder so is waaay better than that, never gonna regret having it done

I have to say I can't stand large areas of tats on a person, my nephew now has one arm and one leg totally covered in tats and it look hideous.

I do like a small amount of ink on a man, but it's all a personal thing. Some of the guys in porn at the moment have far too much for me to be able to watch them, far too distracting.
