Parisian metro Sprague-Thomson was used during 75 years until 1983.
It was the first where the driver could control several electric motors from the cabin, also the first with some metallic cars.
New stations and old trains
Austerlitz bridge (I ear that some have Waterloo station )
Two by train : the driver and the train-chief. Today it is automatic driving.
Parisian singer Francis Lemarque. Me too I knew the hard wood seats of Sprague-Thomson.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Slovenia might be a geographically small country, but it's such a beautiful country!!! :thumbs up::thumbs up::thumbs up:
60 years ago, automobile was already the issue number one at Paris.
During a light collision with the precedent car, the too low bumper of the 2CV passed under the other one, then after, it was very difficult to separate both vehicles ~X(
Slovenia’s second largest city and capital of the Štajerska region, Maribor has been settled as far back as the Stone Age...development was kicked off with the construction of a castle on Piramida Hill in 1164...the natural evolution of this reached its apex in 1254, when town rights were granted to the settlement then known as Markburg (the name Maribor would not be used until the middle of the 19th century).

I wonder if the high medieval hill fortress was founded and constructed by any of the medieval knightly orders, like the Order of St John, the Order of Knight Templars or the Teutonic Order? My reason for asking is that - as you possibly/probably already know - there is the city Malbork in what is the northern parts of contemporary Poland. Malbork's original name was Marienburg, originating as a large fortress constructed by the Teutonic Order, starting to be built in 1274.

At the beginning of the 12th century, the Franks built a fortress on top of the hill which was overlooking the Drava Valley allowing them to control the entrance into the valley due to Hungarian incursions....
