What an extraordinarily beautiful and thoughtful thread, Ioanna! I'm truly grateful for so much beauty and tought in one and the same thread.
I like Plato very much but as a Poet and writer. As a philosopher however, I think he's the source of everything really bad in western philosophy.
You maybe know that I'm not a very religious man, but Meister Ekkehart - the greatest of all Christian mystics - is truly something else. So as a New Years Gift I give you this ekkehartian expression to meditate on :
Ssunder Warumbe - "without why", that which just IS. Without why, without identity, without the dangerous distinction between Form (idea, eidos, morphe etc.etc.etc.etc.) and "mere" existence, matter, sensual, emotional...
