an amazing person and personality. Poets might seem old fashioned but her delivery and passion made her fascinating at watch and learn from. I will always remember her appearance at President Clintons Inauguration...wonderfully inspiring.

I loved Maya Angelou. I've learned about how to deal with difficult people through her words as well a lot about myself and how to improve in order to be a better human being for myself being and not for others' approval. She will be sorely missed...but her works will live on.
She was great. And, she has some history about her that's too often glossed over/whitewashed:

Such wisdom & enlightenment, I'm really going to miss her.
Just out of pure coincidence, I was surfing the channels on the TV and I came upon the live broadcast of her memorial homecoming. I came in on where Bill Clinton was speaking on her behalf and sharing his personal memories of the time he spent with her as well Oprah, First Lady Michelle Obama and her son and grandson. There were also moments of great performances to say the least and some shared comical moments of times they've spent in her company. Such a great memorial service...very uplifting.
