Ripping Videos

This is a request somewhat, and I wasn't really sure where to ask this so it can be moved to the appropriate spot if need be, but what software could be used to rip or copy media from websites. I know some sites have some protected media, but still hasn't stopped it from showing up here or other places on the web so what type of program is that? I typically use Chrome. If you could help that would be greatly appreciated !

Hi tmoody, have you seen this thread? Here.

Basically, you can install downloaders: realplayer or use browser's addons: mozilla firefox's collection of video downloader.

Personally, if I want a video that's streaming, I'll use mozilla's DownloadHelper.

hmm, well I know realplayer doesn't work for those. I'll try some other browser add ons. I was wondering what do some of the other guys on here use since some of the videos they post are directly from protected sites. hmm..
