rapid share has been a bugger lately and judging on other threads here, it seems more then 1 has noticed it
why dont we use more, media fire, or hotfile, megaupload as well??
i know i havent post much, but the things ive posted have been in media fire, and i havent had a problem with it, plus you dont need to wait 15 mins for your next download

i do wonder why media fire/sendspace isn't used more often, cuz they are ultra fast and less restrictive, even mega upload is also really nice. though in theory rapidshare isnice cuz by the time one file is done 15 minutes is up. But nowadays can't even get the slot to start a download...ahh i digress

THE WAY AROUND THE 15 MIN WAIT: ( subject to the type of IP add you have)

This is the way around any "you have max'ed out on your daily limit" from MegaloadUP, Rapidshare etc. etc. for free users.

With Rapidshare - once your first file has been downloaded and is being copied - simply disconnect from internet, immediatley reconnect, and click on the next download and away you go. Just keep on doing this at the end of every d/load and as far as Rapidshare is concerned you are now always downloading your 1st file - so there's NO waiting!!

With Megaloadup and others that let you take 3 or 4 files before kicking you out just do the above once you're kicked.

actually i use a proxy to try to by pass that, but apparently so has a bunch of other people, so itakes forever to find an ip that Is not being used to download, and even when i find one, sum1 else can beat me to it within seconds. And all that is when u even get a slot on the server. But other hand, i just did an entire movie on send space in 2hrs (1 gig). Takes several hours more for rapidshare and that's even at a good time with proxys. Anyways, this christmas im getting a 30 day premium account and planning to download everything in sight. I hope i experience less issue with a premium account!

Premium accounts, which are really quite cheap considering, are no problem. Speed will vary on amount being downloaded and time of day sometimes, but that could be more your locality than RS.

Worth it, as is Hotfile, which although not as fast as RS, is a good bargain too, and currently it's 7 months for price of 6

Mediafire for me works very slow...(well...compared to premium RS ...max dld 100 Kb/s or so... ) ...Megaupload is a bit better as a free user...once I borrowed the account from an online friend to dld a movie I couldn`t find anywhere else...and the speed on a premium Megaupload was awesome...full speed LOL!
I too have some problems with RS from time to time but I can`t complain...it does it`s job...I`m not a SUPER dlder cause I`m afraid my ISP will send me a letter one day telling me I`ve dld too much LOL! Believe it or not it happened in a suburb of Turin...one man and his GF or wife were dld a lot and after 2 Terras of dlding and dlding they were reported to the p0lice ! So I keep my dld ratio at 4-5 Gb/day meaning RS is fine for me!

The worst that would happen here to my account is that they'd slow it down at peak times until the next account period. Never noticed anything like tnat though and I listen to a lot of streaming audio too.

lmao, one of my more inquisitive friend was sent notices of using up too much bandwith. And thats with the fact he conceals his ip most of the time!!

its not even that, ISPs don't like it if your using too much bandwith, technically he in particular was paying for "unlimited bandwidth" but trully nothing is unlimited. Mainly cause it slows the connections down for the many customers in the area.

Try to download mediafire with BT. My speed is up to 2000 MB sometimes.

I have a premium RS account and have been thinking about getting a HF account as well. I am very happy with the speed and amount of files I can download. I have a super computer with 1TB of storage as well as a collective 2TB on external drives.
My internet access is also 20mb speed, so its faster than alot of others in the UK, I am with 02 in the UK. I believe they get their internet from BE THERE.
