Screen Caps

Anybody know of a freeware screen cap app. I've downloaded 2 free trial type apps, and they are as tough to operate as programming a dvr....:angry:

I use both Image Grabber II (as recommended above by Beyond Redemption) and Media Player Classic. With MPC, you open the movie and then go to the FILE menu and select the Save Thumbnails option.

Some video files won't open or have problems in one or the other, but between the two they pretty much handle anything.

Dear Mrduke,

Have you tried to download an add on to Mozilla Firefox called Screen Shot. It can capture a frame of movie as a screencap. I have been using the add on for about four years. I love it. Let me know if you find it easier. Take care!

You can also use the free Programm IrvanView it´s an Pictureviewer with a lot of functions like batch converter, batch renamer, screenshot maker ....

I used Image Grabber II for a very long time now.

But tonight AVG antivirus alerted me for the first time that Image Grabber II is a Trojan.
(after updating with fresh antivirus definitions I guess)

Anyone else with a similar experience?

Hi LuIM My Dear :heart:friend i did have the same problem you are having a long time ago but now use new Antivirus program Called Norton Internet Security 2011 i think AVG antivirus is a good antivirus but it does have some known bug issues and some new definition issues too specially when i download a rar or zip file avg free thinks its a Trojan when its not really sometimes it might be a real trojan specially if you use a keygen.exe file for example some maybe safe other times it might not
