searching for rar passwords

i've downloaded a couple of rar files that i dont have the passwords to since the original posts aren't in my history. Is there a way to search for the posts to retrieve passwords?

I've tried entering the file names but the search doesn't find anything. and searching pass/password gives too many results.

does anyone know another way to find them? i don't want to start a new thread each time i need to find a password

the file names are Scr_3wy_and_Cr_3_my.rar and 0411.part1

A simple little tip ! When you download a password protected file first copy & paste the password into a text file in the same folder , so if you don't immediately unzip it you'll still have the password handy

I learnt from experience too

Or save the post temporarily to your favourites.

xman 101 had it right, I allways copy the password to a notepad (or I will forget it)

However: in this case I also downloaded the same files - the password is ads619.
