Shareflare -A ripoff scam?

noticed recently someone is posting clips with a file sharer I have not seen before- Shareflare.
I'm a little suspicious of this one because it asks for your mobile phone number and apparently you get an SMS with password.

Looks like there's a charge plus a "service charge".

I am always suspicious when there is something involving mobile phones, it's not unheard of you do something like that and get directed to a premium number, which charges a fortune.
just don't look right this....why would someone be using a service that charges, with all the free options available?

I would give that a miss until we know more about it!

anyone know anything about this?

Hell, I'd never wouldn't give away my mobile number to such a 'service'.


But I think you missed that there is a FREE download option where you don't need to give away your mobile number:

1) Click on FREE ( see screenshot)



2) then you have to do the captcha thing and type in the numbers and letters

3) wait 60 seconds and tadaaa

4) you'll get the download link

Shareflare is now forbidden on this forum due to certain issues with it, not least that it's virtually impossible for free users to download from it !
