Morning shift at work, I was caught with a calculator and told to stay the heck away from the till because I'm not good enough with math. At same time, I was told (because till is an annoying task) I have exclusive trash duty which means every few minutes, I bag trash and go outside and nobody says a word if I spend so much as 20 minutes outside just on my phone.
Further on; afternoon and overnight shifts leave me with full access to the till; I run it more than the others. On those shifts, it's always accurate to the penny and nobody says a word about me working with the till despite me being officially "banned." Also, every last morning shift I've worked, not only was there a shortage but I was required to pay into despite me being toally off. So if I'm being forced into liability for something I have no part of and when I am a part, it's down to the dime, I'm given freedom to slack like a stoner.
The situation just has some serious red flags on it. I mean as "punishment" I was told to stay away from an annoying and tedious task and then made the exclusive person to do a five second task that gives me a perpetual excuse to go outside and chill for however long I want and it involves a money job that I'm the most accurate on.
