So what did I just download??

I am downloading a file that clocks in a 525MB using Firefox as my browser.

When I check the drop down box to see the progress of my download it says "+ two other downloads, 484 of 611 MB". My question is, what else am I downloading? And where does it go when my download completes?

Is it Spyware? Malware? The host just saying, "Hellooooo." Homeland Security just saying "Hellooooo."???

I know when it's done (this has happened before) my browser will show the file, 525MB... and no traces of the other downloads in sight.

I wonder if you computer experts have an opinion?

(I am growing to dislike this as much as I dislike .exe downloads for movie file.)

When you click the drop box, click "Show all downloads" at the bottom. Then right click the file in question and hit "open containing folder"...

Hopefully you got some watchable fap-fap material; not like once when I wanted "Big Business" by C@zz0, and instead got a naked version of "Big Momma's House". I think I threw up a little in my mouth, and it was an instant Shift-Delete for me.

My non expert reaction is that a 611MB file will not be spookware. Sneeky stuff needs to be small so it can hide itself and this is too big to hide. I can't think of the method right now but there will be a way to scan the hard drive for anything flagged with this days date to see if there is something there you dont want.
