I swear, every time I kill a spider I wake up with some bug bite on me...

do they have some secret death scream that signals the other spiders to come and bit me in the night? look, I dont go running around outside squashing bugs (except mosquitoes, they deserve to die wherever they are), I figure if they are outside, that is their home and where they belong and I leave them alone. I expect the same when I am in my home.

Havocs I will help you to sleep well tonight.
An average hygienic house contains 1500 spiders. An English study counted even 130,8 spiders per square meter! So in England there exist disabled-, or maybe even zombie-spiders!
Home sweet home.

In my last house, we had a really hot summer and there were what seemed like hundreds of little flying insects everywhere on the upper floor. Now, this might sound creepy but I actually let a few spiders make homes in the corners of the worst rooms where these insects were flying most of the time. Within a few weeks of the spiders doing their job there were nearly no insects flying around anymore. So sometimes spiders are a good thing but you have to know which are safe to keep around… if you are in a situation like mine. I certainly wouldn't want to let poisonous spiders just hang out and take a chance on one biting me.

On a side note, wasps have a pheromone that they excrete when they are in imminent danger. Those are insects you have to be careful around when killing them.

nikon5241, I have heard of people doing that. They purchase spider (that cannot reproduce) to make spiderwebs to help kill flying insects. And since the spiders cannot reproduce (I dont know why they cant but whatever) you dont have to worry about more popping up. I don't think the spiders I have are poisonous, they are your run of the mill house spiders. I do have woods around me so I think i get some interesting ones from time to time. Winter is coming and I guess they are looking for someplace warm to hide out.
It is interesting what you say about the wasps, bc they are known to track a person down and sting them!
