It's kinda outrageous but I have to admit it's also a little bit clever and made me laugh out loud...

Store Pulls 'It's Not Rape It's a Snuggle With a Struggle' T-Shirt (But You Can Still Buy It Online)

A department store in the Philippines was selling a brown T-shirt reading, “It’s Not Rape It’s a Snuggle With a Struggle,” with two hands forming the shape of a heart in the middle. But after the photo went viral, the product was pulled from the retailer’s shelves.

Karen Kunawicz, who is from New Orleans, La., found the shirt at SM Supermall in Pasay City. She shared a photo of the offensive tee on her Facebook page, and it promptly received thousands of shares and comments from friends around the world. She said she spotted it in the statement tees section for boys. “I was shaking I could not take a proper photo,” she wrote on her wall. “Insulting to women and girls and as a mom of a soon to be 13 year old, it made me want to throw up.”

The SM Store released a statement on Facebook that reads, “We do not tolerate such action. SM does not support such irresponsible and malicious acts that mock important and sensitive social issues.” Store officials pulled the item from shelves and are investigating why the tee was shipped (and displayed for sale) in the first place.

The T- shirt sparked online rage, but it’s not the first time that the sexual violence has been trivialized on a tee. Last year, a T-shirt company that sold its goods through Amazon came under fire after shirts that featured slogans such as “Keep Calm And Rape A Lot” and “Keep Calm And Rape Them” were discovered. An Etsy shop in 2013 was pulled from the site after shirts with slogans such as “Autumn is perfect for date rape” and “I’m a sensitive guy, I only rape pregnant women” were revealed to the larger public. And recently, students wearing shirts spelling out “rape” were discovered on Twitter, and their Long Island school district said it was considering disciplinary and legal action against them.

While it’s great that SM Supermall is getting to the bottom of why and how the T-shirt made it onto shelves, the shirt can still be found online. Foulmouthshirts.com, a U.S.-based company, sells the tee and, according to the website, it’s available in more than 350 styles, sizes, and color combinations. And Idakoos.com sells tees emblazoned with “I Love Motionless Girls.”

It's chicken and egg question, who is worse, the shop for displaying an offensive shirt or the stupid boys who buy this shit. The shop wouldn't sell things like this unless there was some demand. The worst outcome is if it leads to a Tshirt police, then who is to say what is banned. Plenty of people would support a ban extending to gay right Tshirts too. Internet campaigns are good at sending out messages which change public opinion against these 'hilarious' slogans. I dont want to see the law getting involved with this.

I guess it's a matter of opinion when it comes to this ..but for me...I take it personal and disgusting because I was a rape victim and therefore, I guess those individuals who have not endured such would have a difficult time comprehending to how this might be offensive to some people.

Those kind of T-shirts shows how rape is still something "acceptable in certain situations" (if the victim was too drunk, dressed certain way etc) in this world. That makes me so angry I can't even describe!

George Carlin About Rape

The act of rape is despicable and I am against it in any form. When I think of the young men arrested for simple crimes and sentenced to prison with murderers, rapists and other vicious animals who don't deserve to be considered human. I cry real tears for the fresh meat that will be ripped open by those animals. Rape is horrible for the victims and society.

Humor and comedy are an essential part of life. Humor has changed many things about society. Humor should not be censored. I laugh at Gay jokes too, if they are FUNNY.

Don't confuse rape with humor...

"Dont confuse rape with humour" I trust none of us ever would.
Theres another thing we must never confuse rape with, dont confuse it with sex. It's not an act of sex it's an act of violence, even if the coercion is by drugs or money.
How can it not be obvious that if you wear a Tshirt like that you never will have a sex life, no woman is going to come anywhere near you, unless she's a police officer, and the only friends who will still talk to you will be retards like yourself.
The subject of prisons, and why so many people, mostly poor people, are locked away for trivial reasons at enormous human and financial cost is topic of it's own, comeing soon?

You read my mind dargelos. I had a 'Don't Drop The Soap' thread in the works.

How many of us have heard a joke with punch line that references the 'Don't Drop The Soap' angle?

Humor is a mercurial thing. I'm not good at telling jokes but my brother was. He was the funniest guy around whether at home, school, work or any where in between.

I've heard so many Gay jokes in my lifetime I could not possibily count them all. I laughed at all the funny ones. The others that were stupid don't count. Have you heard the joke about the explorers who were captured by natives and given a choice of bundha (raped by the entire village) or death? The first guy said bundha and was raped. The second guy said he'd take death because he didn't want to be raped. The village leader said okay - death by bundha... get it?

If you don't want to see even if you have eyes, if you don't want to listen even if you have ears, if you don't want to smell even if you have nose, if you don't want to feel even if you have the sense of touch, if you don't want to taste even if you have a tongue and most importantly if you don't want to think even if you have the brains then this is what you design and market as a commodity.
