this may well end up being a short essay, so apologies in advance if it does, but the whole peter le thing leads to a couple of other points that i have noticed relating to porn - gay and straight.
first up, i have been a peter le admirer and fan ever since first discovering him, before he even got naked in his vids.. they were the classic physique video style, something which dates back to the earliest days of privately distributed reels of the classic A M G style and even earlier. he was smart enough to start his own business, props to him.
the people who joined his site knew what they were signing to, and were never promised that he would do porn. he started doing naked shoots, my heart certainly skipped a beat, but a lot of others just bitched. why? because he would not do something he had not promised to do.
he eventually did a vid showing his hardon, i found that very satisfying ... very very satisfying. he went on to make a few jerkoff vids, again for me very very satisfying. a lot of others just bitched. why? because he would not do something he had never promised to do.
what did they want? ... they wanted to see him get fucked, something he has never promised to do.
i for one am happy and even relieved that he has never gotten fucked on video.
(for me if both guys don't give me wood, i won't watch .. i would rather watch a hot guy solo)
... and besides, i would rather watch him top, or in a flipflop scene, but he has never promised to do that, and i'm cool with that.
like jw4833, i have had the pleasure of chatting, and found him to be not just a nice guy, someone i could kick back with happily, but also to be aware, and more intelligent than most porn performers, based on the social media feeds of many.
now the following thoughts are NOT related to any of the posts in this thread thus far, but there are a couple of long held observations that i would make that do relate to the subject. these apply equally to straight and gay porn.
one is the attitude that everyone has their price, and should do it because the money is there. i am no fan of cody
mings, he would not turn my head if i passed him on the street (peter would turn my whole body), but why should anyone do what they do not want to do .. no matter what the money .. or demands. some people just do not have a price, that is their right, even if they do porn. this type of attitude tells us more about the person espousing the view than they realise.
this attitude at its worst leads to material such as that produced by j0rges gang or pr1vate b0y m0vie ... just plain abusive material that takes immoral advantage of poverty. you can tell if you ever watch this stuff that the guys are not usually enjoying, are in great discomfort, and have very likely not been fully advised of what is about to happen. the russian performer ton had a very similar journey. hopefully higgins and duroy pay well, but at least they do not pursue the abusive path of the aforementioned.
the second observation regards racist attitudes in both gay and straight porn. in gay porn, the cliche that asian guys can only be passive. how many guys appearing regularly as tops in european or american porn are/were of asian ethnicity. i can only think of brandon lee. when christian thorn first appeared at RB, even the blurb from the studio was that they couldn't wait to see him get fucked. why not that they couldn't wait to see him fuck someone? i am very happy that he gave us a remarkable solo vid, and another of him getting blown in a jailcell and then disappeared back to the real world.

at least peter le has given us a company that gives us an ethnically mixed roster, and different body types, who perform in vids produced without regard for the stereotypes. for this alone i appaud him, it is refreshing. great to see some asian tops at last in "interracial" scenes.
and if you want to see something very pleasing (to me) there is a vid with keni and peter in the backyard. no action, but two magnificent guys naked together ... the stuff of very pleasant dreams.
