The future of filesharing looks grim

With the FBI poking their noses into everyone's business due to pressure from the money grabbing RIAA and MPAA, we just cannot be sure if we are wasting our money on buying premium accounts.

I have been screwed, and I am sure that I am not alone, by Filesonic, Depositfiles and Fileserve. I see that Fileserve is back up but none seems to be posting on it and I can understand why.

Obviously there is no easy fix to this problem but posters are also jumping around from one host to another and we just cannot buy premium accounts from all. Some hosters are talking advantage of the situation, like Bitbonus, and are not allowing downloads of files greater than 400 MB unless you are a Premium account holder. Also, this host does not use PayPal so we have to given them our credit card details which is a no no in my book!

Well it seems like the time has come where not everything is for free anymore and I think Depositfiles is a good example

Free users seem to be blocked with terrible slow speed and I finally decided to buy a premium account where I only have fast speed yet. I think they know really well how to earn money and they act in a tricky way to get it and that is finally not good at all

And what franklyn mentions in case of limited file size is another serious problem and I think nobody knows how this all will continue because nobody can buy premium accounts from all filehosts and of course not every filehost is comfortable for uploader and downloader. There is always one advantage/disadvantage and I think we need to let work the time and show how this all goes

This is a weak comfort but unfortunately the way it goes at the moment

it seems all is dead at one time hotfile was my fav even with very low payouts , and its not all about the money but if they pay for my internet to still online and sites to get files then wahts the same in that .... if u listen to other im a bad guy so what i never got rich or im over it before i get ban...

Here is a bit more about Bitbonus. Speeds are good BUT they have a miserable quota on Premium - 20 GB for 30 days. That is really mean when you take the size of movies today!

Extabit seems pretty good so does Filemonster but our wonderful posters (I mean it) are jumping around from host to host and this does not encourage people to buy premium accounts.

Anyone have any more news about the future of Oron? They no longer accept credit card payments nor PayPal and my country, Israel, is not listed by any of their resellers. They ignore my questions about Israel not in their list of countries but keep on telling me that my business is welcome and I should pay through resellers which also don't list Israel! It seems politics is evident even in the world of file hosting!

Something else is also happening. Gay porn forums seem to be closing. Anone know anything out this?

Forums are always closing. Most don't have the same friendly sense of community as we do, which is one reason I believe we still have a good active membership, as many will say, they come for the porn, but stay for the chat

Dont take the Oron thing personally. They are slowly dieing and you would probably be screwed over if you were able to join. I wouldn't think they can last to much longer since you cant join via paypal. Once peoples memberships run out they would have to find another way to pay them, and if its not easy, they will go somewhere else. I hear that most credit cards will not affiliate with them anymore but you can join with your bank account. Who would trust them with their bank account? I've heard they are owned by the russian mafia.

Thanks for the reply. I agree with you about their ownership but I think most of the hots these days are probably Russian. Its the only way the MIB can't touch them although RS doesn't seem to be worried.

Also, have you noticed how many "new" movies are actually re-releases of old ones and how many are just compilations of Euroc**me bareback movies now distributed by Stax*s? Maybe they haven't go the money to pay these beautiful guys!

Maybe this is a result of the USA/European recession but Bel**i doesn't seem to be having inay problems with new material.

I don't know what is happening with straight porn, though.

Like I mentioned in an other thread, I just started sharing my files and choose FileFactory. They just added 50% extra servers and loads of other hardware. Guess that means they are here to stay. That is why I choose them as my upload filesharing server. And 100GB a day download
