Greedy doctors promote infant circision for purely financial reasons. Quick cash for a very short time.
Hospitals also sell foreskins to skin cream companies and to other corporations. The very least they could do is not charge for the procedure or at least give parents some of the money.
Enough evidence now exists to say with confidence that male circision causes psychological changes. The trauma of the experience is injurious.

My hubby is uncut and I wish I was. I spent many years doing different methods of foreskin restoration with some luck. I also have used and do use the Senslip from Great Britain and that has helped restore sensation. I would have had the foreskin restoration surgery but it costs close to 50 grand, I have seen some places that can do it for half that but I figure that is not the type of surgery to get at a discount.

From what I have read, circision has nothing to do with health as such notions of disease spreading was not even understood thousands of years ago.

It was more to do with punishment as sex was not meant to be enjoyed, hence make the male feel discomfort during intercourse and a cut cock would exactly do that.

I agree. It was done for the best of intentions. Hygiene.
And then became a social norm. Dad was cut; son was cut. All the boys were cut when I was young.

Hygiene options and practices are different now. And social norms are following along.
