They enjoyed considerable popularity in many countries (at least 60 singles or EPs and 26 albums charting somewhere in the world, spanning over five decades), although they did not achieve major US chart success until 1966 with "Bus Stop". The Hollies had over 30 charting singles on the UK Singles Chart, and 22 on the Billboard Hot 100, with major hits on both sides of the Atlantic that included "Just One Look", "Look Through Any Window", "I Can't Let Go", "Bus Stop", "Stop Stop Stop", "On a Carousel", "Carrie Anne", "Jennifer Eccles", and later "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother", "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress", and "The Air That I Breathe".

Of all the Hollies songs listed by stonecold, the one I remember most clearly from my Swedish childhood it's definitely "Jennifer Eccles" which immediately springs to mind. Those were the days...I'm getting nostalgic...:dreaming:

Clive Walter Swift
(9 February 1936 – 1 February 2019)
English actor and songwriter.
He was best known for his role as Richard Bucket, the long-suffering husband of Hyacinth (played by Patricia Routledge) in the British television series 'Keeping Up Appearances'.

Clive read English literature at Clifton College and Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. He was previously a teacher at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), the oldest drama school in the UK, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

His acting career spanned 1962 to 2017. He performed on stage, radio, cinema, and television. He appeared as Snug in the Royal Shakespeare Company's 1968 film production of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' as part of a cast that included Diana Rigg, Helen Mirren and Ian Richardson.
