IF you had to choose, deaf or blind? Which is the worst, and why??

As much I love music, I think I would give up hearing.
With eyesight, I can still drive, work on the computer.
Read, visit museums, etc.

i was deaf for 6 months--it sucked--i guess i would rather be deaf though still as i would rather see the people i am with and around--
It is a choice I hope nobody ever has to make! Speaking for myself I am half deaf thanks to an accident years ago (today I can only hear with my left ear), it is my worst nightmare to loose my left ear too, but loosing my sight? I do not even want to think about that!

I only hear on one side too (quite handy liking a lot of old music that was only in mono ). It was simply a virus years ago. It has it's inconvenience but I like to be able to see what's around me. I had a slight loss of vision too in one eye more recently which was more scary! At least with sight I'd be able to watch movies with subtitles and get around.
Big question, would I miss porn more than music
We all adapt to any difficulty but I'd imagine it limits you far more not being able to see at all.

But porn for the blind? I'd like to see you try wanking while reading braille...
Edit: after posting the bit about porn in braille I decided to do a quick search. Not only did I discover that the Library Of Congress has a collection of Playboy Magazine in braille, I also found out that there is a non-profit organization called PornForTheBlind.Org in which volunteers submit verbal descriptions (in mp3 format) of the free preview clips that most internet studios provide. The problem is they can only use the short free previews (I'm guessing to avoid copyright issues) and they have to describe the action in "clinical terms" i.e. one young man is now stroking the others penis to erection...

For me, I would rather be deaf than blind... Purely because the amount of information we get from our eyes is way more than the auditory input.
Like it was pointed out, a deaf person can still wander round and do day to day activities with ease (kinda like when Im wearing my ipod and walking around)... ok bad example as Im LISTENING to music, but u get the idea. Whereas a blind person would need assistance to do even the basic daily activities...

I will not answer this question and I hope I will never come to a point where I really have to choose between those two.
I could never imagine being blind, I've have hearing problems all my life, and have learned to cope with them, I would not like the losing either of the senses. But if had to choose, I would choose being deaf.
