Transfer music to ipod touch without itunes

Hey I have a question for all of you -

I use an old macbook then my sis gave me an ipod touch a couple of years ago. I never got to use it because the two wont sync (macbook has old itunes and because it's old it can't really upgrade beyond OS 10.6 to work with the ipod touch) .

How do I put music in my ipod touch without using itunes - i tried DL through gdrive or email but nothing works.

You could try CopyTrans Manager. There is even a portable Version I read. Perhaps this helps.
