I got a new Nexus 7 tablet for Christmas and I love it. Well except for the fact that my charger is fucking up. The charger is both a wall charger and a computer charger. It comes in 2 pieces a usb to micro usb plus an adapter to plug it into the wall. If I plug it into the wall and don't use it it charges at okay speeds. if I use it while its charging through the wall it charges very slowly. If I have it plugged into my computer and don't use it it charges very slowly. If I plug it into my computer and use it it does not charge at all. If I plug it into the wall but use a usb extension cable (the cable that came with it is kinda short) between the micro usb cable and the wall adapter it doesn't charge. Don't worry I'm gonna call Asus tomorrow. I'm just pissed off.

Ps I used my micro usb wall charger that came with my phone to charge my tablet once and I think my tablet shorted out the charger

Phone chargers & tablet chargers are different strengths. If they both had the same voltage it would not have been a problem; but most tablets use more electricity. Their batteries are bigger & longer lasting. Also charging phone or tablet thru the computer gives only a trickle charge not a full strength charge, which is why it takes so much longer to complete. If you really want a shock; it takes even less time to charge phone or tablet using the car charger than it does a wall charger. Try that sometime. I have the ASUS Transformer TF101 tablet. Electric current & some computer knowledge is best for working with today's technology.

It sounds like your tablet is working as expected. That's the way a power-hungry device like a tablet behaves. The only real variable is your computer - some computers can feed more power to USB devices than others.

Does the Nexus have enough power to get you through the day?
