I do enjoy shopping for underwear. I am an older guy and have never tired of browsing the better stores for gear. Really enjoy it when a young male clerk shows interest in helping make a selection. I really am a perv.

Why should you be a "perv"? Because you like the young male clerk? Perhaps he likes you too. Many young guys are loving older guys and I think the older one as well as the younger one will not be "pervs". I think it is really nice that you are liking modern underwear and not thinking "I'm old and I have to wear underwear for old ones". It shows how young you are in your heart.

So I think you are a lovable guy who is partaking alive.
